Infinite Index

Infinite Index is a visual library of objects found online, each weighing 99grams. The items – ranging from a drone parachute to a pigtail of human hair – are chosen for their curious symbolic value, representing human efforts to weigh, measure, and interpret the universe.

The book, in concertina form, was created by Maria Ahmed for the Artist’s Book Collective project 99grams, curated by Lucy Helton at The National Museum of Computing, Bletchley Park UK, 2025.
